I had a great time touring the Bay Areay on a Harley rented from the folks at California Motorcycle Adventures. It made my (otherwise rather boring) business trip a delight, and I am certain to rent from them again on my next trips. The rental process was fast and efficient, the folks were friendly and the bike was great. What more can one ask for? I wholeheartedly recommend this place!

A great shop to rent from. Excellent service and a wide selection of bikes to choose from. Prices were fair. Easy access from San Jose AP area.Evident from the moment I arrive that the shop knows what it is doing. Bike was ready to go, and the team was working hard to make sure we had everything we needed to a great ride.
Will rent again from this shop. The roads were great and I did not have enough time to run them all. The MadMaps available (web) or in the shop are accurate and give a great layout of ride/roads distance, sights etc. Well worth having in the saddlebag. Team even has a spot to drop the travel bags or car while you are out riding.

The folks at California Motorcycle Adventures worked with us all the way to make it all happen without a hitch. They were very helpful and friendly, and made us feel like old friends. We rented 2 Harley Heritage Softail Classic motorcycles in July of 2009. From the beginning to the end, our experience with the owners and staff were great. They did everything to help us with our trip. Of course the area is great for riding, but the folks there made it better. I would recommend this place to anyone .

Coming from Canada and not knowing what to expect, I couldn't have been happier with the service, condition of the bike (FLHTCI Electra Glide Classic), and friendliness of the folks at California Motorcycle Adventures. My wife and I arrived at SFO right on time on Friday morning. After collecting our luggage, my cell phone rang and Ilene from California Motorcycle Adventures was calling to let me know that she was running about 5 minutes late. Anyone called you when only running 5 minutes late? That was the beginning of a great adventure for my wife and I.
Ilene arrived 5 minutes later and we stowed our bags, hopped in the Tahoe and off we went to the California Motorcycle Adventures offices in Mountain View. Paperwork to rent the motorcycle was quick and efficient. These folks get the necessary paperwork only, they aren't asking for your firstborn, just what is legally and reasonably required. We got an excellent briefing on the Honda Goldwing we would be riding for the next week. Just FYI, it was my second time on a Goldwing, as I normally ride a Honda Shadow. The ins and outs of using "reverse", the nav system, fuel gauges, braking system, hidey holes were covered in short order.
One of the greatest things about this entire process was that we were treated as adults, which we are since 60 is creeping up on me quickly, our questions were answered without narry a "rolled eye". Then it was off for San Francisco, Napa and Sonoma Valley for a week. The Goldwing performed like a champ. My wife and I decided that we could have actually brought more clothes, since the storage on the Goldwing is phenomenal! California Motorcycle Adventures keeps the bikes in pristine condition. Check In mirrors Check Out. Use these folks!!!

My best friend and I have always wanted to ride the Pacific Coast Highway, In late July of 09 we flew from Miami to San Francisco and rented 2 Honda ST 1300 motorcycles and had a fantastic experience. The bikes were in great shape and the rental process was painless. Scott and Ilene ( the owners) make you feel like you are their only customer. I can honestly tell you that we spent five days riding the twisty roads of northern California stopping only for food and gas and never worried about breaking down or even getting a flat tire. Scoot and Ilene had that covered.
California is great area for riding, the roads are challenging and the views are breathtaking but the folks at California Motorcycle Adventures made it better. I would recommend this place to anyone.

We would like to say a big thank you to Scott, Ilene and all the staff at California Motorcycle Adventures. We hired 2 Harley Davidson Road Kings for 16 days in the Summer of 2009, and the whole experience was excellent, we couldn't fault it. The bikes were in excellent condition and we didn't have any problems at all during our 2800mile tour of SW USA. Although we'd planned our own route and accommodation, Ilene looked over it for us and gave us further suggestions of things to see or a more scenic route! We would definitely use them again and recommend them for anyone planning a trip in Northern California.

Thanks to Ilene and Scott and staff I experienced my first, and surely not my last, southwestern U.S motorcycle odyssey. Utah, Nevada, Arizona and California and everything in between in ten lovely days. The response was impeccable from the moment I first contacted Scott via e-mail. I was dealt with in a prompt and professional manner by both Scott and Ilene. The itinerary that was set up for me by Ilene was fantastic. Both informative and accurate. Of the ten destinations all accomodations were great, with the exception of the Panamint Springs Resort. Go the extra 40 miles out of death valley and stay in Lone Pine at the foot of Mt. Whitney. Thank you for a wonderful trip. The bike was great (Harley Electra Glide Classic 2008) Not even a hiccup during the 2600 mile trip. All was very much appreciated. I intend to return to California wine country and will be calling on you soon.

After wrapping up four days of conference in San Francisco I was keen to explore the much acclaimed United States West Coast and I figured what better way to see it than on a Harley. I had never ridden one before, my experience is on sport bikes, but somehow the road king cruiser seemed the right choice for the occasion.
So after some e-mailing to California Motorcycle Adventures (CMA) here I was being introduced to the gleaming chrome and black beast hung low on its white walled tyres...
...now as I reminisce over the trip of dreams I must thank the crew at California Motorcycle Adventures for a beautifully turned out bike and helpful service and attitude and all the friendly people who helped make this a trip of a lifetime.

Almost a year ago I hired a softail from you for four weeks and took off into the wild blue yonder. Not only did you go out of your way to pick me up at the beginning of the trip, you dropped me back at SF airport when the trip was (sadly) over. The bike behaved immaculately, and after 4800 miles, when I had the oil change in Nashville, a phone call to you by the dealer had the payment sorted out instantly. I think you were kinda surprised how far I'd got......
It was great to deal with a biker whose business sense is second to none, who operates the best damn rental service I've ever used. I'll be back next year, already planning the trip.
