For decades BMW motorcycles have been a favorite of motorcyclists worldwide. The BMW is known for its engineering and long distance reliability. It's natural that BMW would also be a leader in the design of Sport-Touring motorcycles.
Not only do our BMW sport touring rental motorcycles offer you touring necessities like hard-case luggage compartments, top box, electronic adjustable windshield, heated seat and grips, cruise control, and audio; they also feature finely tuned suspensions, streamlined wind fairings and crisp power delivery.
In 2010, California Motorcycle Adventures added a line of BMW Sport Touring motorcycles to its rental motorcycle fleet, with two models featured: the K1300GT and the R1200RT. Both of these models feature Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), and ESA II for the ultimate in sport-touring adventure.
ESA stands for Electronic Suspension Adjustment and, in its second generation, it allows you to select the precise suspension dynamics for your riding style: you can choose between Comfort, Normal or Sport mode and also compensate for your load factor: solo, solo with luggage, rider with passenger and luggage, giving you a combination of nine settings.
The K1300GT also features ASC, Automatic Stability Control. A better name for this should be Automatic Traction Control, which helps prevent wheel spin.
